Your last question is where my thoughts went as well. I think oftentimes evil is something I should avoid or something I recognize as a wrong in the world. Abhoring it is a lot more personal, prompting feelings like disgust and hatred. Do I abhor evil in my own life and in the world around me? If I do, I’m doing everything in my power to get rid of it.
